This blog outlines our communication process and how we organize footage links ETC.
Communication:
1. WhatsApp:
Our Primary method of communication is WhatsApp this allows us to communicate with one another outside of school or a shared location. WhatsApp as well has technological converge that combines features such as file sharing and calling to improve our efficiency. Sharing files was really helpful and easy to show our group mates previews of our work such as edits, digipak sketches to get feedback on what to adjust and fix although with WhatsApp our files tend to get compressed which results in lower quality which meant that we required a another file sharing application to share high quality copies to one another. As well calling help make discussions easier as we could talk to one another rather than text which increased efficiency.
Heres some examples of how we used WhatsApp

| We also used our group description to share our links for our Canva posts so that it is easily accessible and easy to find. |
| We also used polls to make decisions and vote on different things such as the name of the band. |

2. Discord:
We originally used Discord to make a server where "fans" could interact with the "artists" but we also ended up using Discord to call as the audio quality is much better than WhatsApp. However we couldn't do the same things we could on WhatsApp as there is a small limit of 5 MB for file sharing and as well discord notifications are not as noticeable compared to WhatsApp especially on mobile. In addition to this we could have many chats within a discord server which could have organize our chats and discussions to certain topics per chat. However overall the experience is pretty similar to WhatsApp so we just mostly used it for calls to discuss about certain things or to study for upcoming assessments or tests/exams.
3. In School Discussions:
We tried to take advantage as much as possible of the time we get with one another in school as this was the most effective communication method due to being face to face and being able to physically interact with one another. This allowed us to work on physical notes together such as the lyrics sheet or classwork. As well it let me share files faster using physical connections rather than online which I will elaborate on later.

Organization:
1. Google Drive:
We use Google Drive to share files online without loss in quality like WhatsApp. This meant that we could share footage from the cameras without compression or loss in image quality/sharpness. As well another benefit is that our school provides us with unlimited Google Drive storage which meant that we could upload all our footage without having to pay for a subscription to increase our storage. In addition Google Drive allows us to make folders which help organize the footage for example in our shoots we used multiple cameras a conventional camera and a 360 camera this allows us to sort and separate them as well this allowed us to separate footage per scene which helps us be able to pick out the right clips faster.
However uploading to Google drive takes a while as it uses the internet which slows down the process as it needs to be uploaded by me (the camera man) and downloaded again by Max (the editor).
2. External SSD
We used an external SSD to share footage offline using a wired connection this made transfers way faster compared to online methods such as Google Drive however came at the cost of accessibility as the file transfer had to be done in real life and the files are not stored in the cloud. As well this came at risk as the data could be easily lost or damaged if the external SSD were to be misplaced or get destroyed as it is a physical item. However this was still our preferred way to transfer files and footage between the camera man and the editor as we had ample time and opportunities to meet in person at school and the data transfer was astronomically faster compared to online. As gigabytes of footage can be transferred in minutes compared to hours using online filesharing such as Google Drive without loss in quality as well as sharing many of the benefits of Google Drive.
3. Canva
We used Canva as our primary way or making documents, presentations, mind maps ETC. As compared to the Google suite of Google docs sheets and slides, documents on Canva are easily able to be embed on to blogger through the share feature as well the embed documents are update so we don't have to re embed the documents. As well Canva has a wide range of templates and elements which help us save time decorating and formatting. We used Canva to make a majority of our documents and blogposts such as the digipak research, statement of intent, CR, Genre Research ETC.
Reflection:
Overall this tasks was quite hard as we had to find proof or evidence of us using the apps in creative ways which meant going back to previous chats and screen shooting them which was time consuming. However these apps were really useful for us to make this project and if it weren't for this it would've been impossible. As well these apps really helped us save time which we used to make our content better one such example is Canva where by using templates we don't have to decorate our documents or presentations and can focus on the content of the documents. As well it was nice to look at how we used in person methods of communication and data sharing VS online methods of communication and data sharing and comparing strengths and weaknesses between them.
